Zeev, corresponded with you briefly several months back about the prospects for TSEM, an Israeli foundry outfit with a new fab (Fab2) about to come on line. They just completed a rights offering (manipulated somewhat in my opinion and rather difficult to understand; but the math said don't exercise to me) and with start up just a few short months away, they would appear well poised (should a semi upturn actually occur). They've got Saifun technology, CMOS and other 'know how' from the Koreans as I recall. I keep getting myself confused about next year's potential 'upturn' in the semi industry (TSEM's niche may run independent of an upturn??) as a function of my readings (many plus, many negative). Your thoughts on TSEM would be appreciated at this juncture (if they've changed any during the past several months since I last traded notes with you).
One other topic (quickie): ever heard of IDCC in the telecom industry? I'm into this one pretty deep and would like to trade thoughts with you (or anyone else interested) on this one.
Thanks for all your info, appreciate reading your post(s) and others on this board. Submerging back to deep lurk mode.......
