Some things need government oversight. clean water and food without crap in it, plans that don't blow up because some greedy Airline executive decides to dilute the jet fuel with some dangerous chemical. The government was out of the way when that BP rig caused the mess in the gulf due to executives at bp not following proper safety to save money so i guess those 11 people that died wasn't worth it to them. the Government worked just fine when they required Auto manufactures to require seat belts, better energy absorbing bumpers, power steering and better non cutting windshield glass It's about a balance for the people, poor, rich, middle class, white, black, old, young, Latino oriental, mixed... whatever.. that seems to be a recurring them in conservative republican ideology: that only the government can intrude on ones life but they seem to give the private sector a free pass.
