Let me take a stab at DDs argument.

BM says "you have to understand it", then goes to immuno data. This kind of looks like he saying that you have to be certain that the "junk" does not cause a reaction.

Saying "We understand the junk, and can show it does not cause an immune reaction" is a far cry from "We understand the junk, and can reproduce it.
