From my perspective the analysis is easier:

If I lose the bet then I likely make money on MNTA; if I win the bet I get a free dinner as consolation. :)

The doubling cube really was a great innovation in backgammon. The other neat feature of the game from a gambling perspective is how weaker players think they are losing because they are being unlucky when the stronger player gets good rolls. (One of my brothers made a good living playing backgammon in South Africa for a year or two after learning in NYC in the 70's. He eventually ran out of suckers though).

I don't imagine MNTA would have any greater a chance of getting an injunction than Sanofi did vs MNTA.
