I don’t know what JP’s departure means, but I’m skeptical of the notion that it signifies a near-term buyout. If the company were looking for a buyer, why the need for a 3-hour investor webcast at AASLD? Moreover, if the company were looking for a buyer, why get rid of JP in the first place? He had only one vote on the BoD out of nine.
