Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. (CTSH) moved up 2.47 percent to $66.80 in the pre-market session. The company's third quarter profit was $203.7 million or 66 cents a share, up from $136.6 million or 45 cents a share last year. Adjusted earnings for the latest quarter were 69 cents a share. Revenue rose 43 percent to $1.22 billion. Analysts had expected profit of 60 cents a share on revenue of $1.18 billion.
Cognizant expects fourth quarter adjusted earnings of 68 cents a share and revenue of at least $1.27 billion. Analysts expect profit of 63 cents a share on revenue fo $1.23 billion. The company raised its fiscal 2010 adjusted profit guidance to at least $2.50 from previous forecast of at least $2.42 and revenue outlook to at least $4.55 billion from previous guidance of at least $4.46 billion. Analysts expect profit of $2.28 on revenue of $4.47 billion.
