I've rented a Charger twice, most recently in Vegas when Joelle had an ACS convention in Salt Lake City in 2009. We decided to fly into Vegas since it was cheaper and drive up to SLC since Joelle had never seen the real West at that time. Averaged 90-95 MPH (and went up to 100-110 if she fell asleep) :-)

As long as we are talking about cars -- I had the 3.5 HO Charger for a rental when I totaled my 05 3.5 Altima and was looking for a replacement. I was impressed by the comfort and solidity of the ride. Maybe they put some Mercedes parts in that suspension when Daimler owned Chrysler. I wasn't too impressed with the quickness. I think the hp to weight is a bit on the low side given weight of the Charger. Also, mileage sucked. The Hemi would definitely take care of the quickness issue but of course the mileage would suck even more. I drive 110 miles round trip every work day and need to at least stay in the low 20s per gallon. My "new" ride is another 05 Altima. This time it is an SE-R with about 11/1 compression so I need to burn premium, but I get about 25/gal, have close to 300 hp, heavy duty suspension, reinforced body for some rigidity, forged wheels, 6 spd manual and nice bolsters on the seats to keep me nicely hugged while zipping around corners. 60% of my commute is on curvy county roads and the rest on 4 lane hwy or city streets. oh yeah, its red too and about 1.5 inches lower than other Altimas. They only made this model in 2005 and 2006. It's not an American car like you guys have been talking about, but it is just about perfect for my needs at the moment and I will be arriving at the Chicago Monkinar in it about 4:30 p.m. on 11/12.
