That sounds like something from a fortune cookie :- )

Seriously, I’m not sure what Waksal and his partners see, if anything, in the HCV part of Three Rivers’ portfolio, which strikes me as a collection of useless compounds.

Taribavirin, a prodrug of ribavirin that has a long history of going nowhere, is now owned by Sam Waksal’s company, Kadmon Pharmaceuticals:

VRX was willing to part with this gem for $5M up-front and an 8-12% royalty on sales (that will probably never occur). I wonder what Sam is smoking :- )
