Abandoning the economy (re:economic policies) is one thing, and sure people will base their votes on that, if they actually believe that is the case.. But does that really have anything to do with what the stock market does in the next week. Based on my discussions with people at home, at work, etc, the stock market damage is done, and as far as I've seen, republicans are still republicans, and democrats are still democrats. This whole blame the administration for the economy is a CNBC thing, I don't know anyone who actually thinks Bush or his admin is responsible for the struggling economy, except for diehard democrats of course.
