When you have impressions such as you have experienced it makes it hard to let them go...and I understand where you are at.
My wife and I have a rule and a promise we make to all our animals that they will not suffer and we listen to them...they have all let us know when they have had enough.......
They like people like their dignity and when that is lost they let go....and they let you know it....
