One more the author forgot was the radio button on the floor similar to the high beam button. My father owned a 59' Cadillac Eldorado Barritz Conv which had the (factory) floor mounted button to change the pre-set stations.
Come to think of it, the auto builders should also incorporate the "speed warning feature" that you could calibrate with a little nob from the speedo. This option came with many cars of that era. I guess the "cruise control" invention made that feature obsolete.

My car's high beam on the stalk takes some finesse, and often kicks in the highs. Real silly! Oh yeah, pantera, the foot activated was great. Nostalgia...!
don't even talk to me about the ventilation controls; unfarkng real ...I have to take my eyes off the road for a second or two to find the fan speed control!
