I'll let U in on a little 'secret'...EVERY affluent person I know thinks Obama is a friggin' wus for not enacting emergency taxation on 'the rich' last year. WHY? If he had done so, the states would be well on the path to recovery right now rather than wallowing in quicksand.

(by 'affluent' I mean people whose net worth far exceeds a mil or 3)

He has lowered taxes for most people. It would be rank stupidity of the first order to keep those tax cuts for the wealthy when we are running such high deficits. Of course that's why you agree with keeping them

Raise taxes on the rich, says billionaire investor Warren Buffett

rooster, the statement that Obama wants private business to fail so he can 'takeover' is among the most silly, vicious, untrue
and paranoid i've heard. For one thing only, don't you think he wants to be reelected? It's obvious you are not being sincere.

On the tax thing well i guess you don't think much of Buffett's opinion either.

BILLIONAIRE investor Warren Buffett today called for raising taxes for the very wealthy in the US -- and possible cuts for others.

"I think we should raise taxes on the very rich, and I think maybe we should cut taxes for the middle class, upper
middle class," Mr Buffett, chairman and chief executive of Berkshire Hathaway said in CNN interview aired today.

Asked if the tax cuts should go beyond those signed into law by former US President George W. Bush, Mr Buffet said: "It could well be."

"We're going to have to get more money from somebody," Mr Buffett said.

"We aren't taking in enough money at the federal government level.

"I see no problem in taxing people at the very high levels significantly more that they're
being taxed right now, and I might very well cut taxes even further for the people at lower levels."
