mlsoft, thx. for the info.. i agree that " it will probably end badly". perhaps the better question is when and at what level? at the rate they keep ramping this on weaker than expected reports, i shudder to think how high we go tomorrow if claims are up significantly! (g)
Mlsoft- CCMP has a history of surprising to the upside which has made it a helluva a short-buster in the past ( I was unfortunately shorting the stock over the last 2 earnings reports!) so I would assume part of the runup aside from general market conditions is the anticipation that it will repeat history and administer pain to the shorts..
Probably worth the risk of taking a short before the report as there probably wont be the short fuel to stop the fall if they really foul up.
Zeev had some compelling opinions in the past that I should have listened to regarding their business and how its unique from the rest of the sector,etc etc..
