Wow, I've never seen such a low and self serving attempt obviosuly driven by greed to make a ROI. Considering that other similar drugs were not approved due to various health risks and the fact that there are a hundered alternatives to losing weight (from excercise to diet to pills to gastroplasty which can be covered by health insurance if obesity is a major health risk), this petition is PATHETIC!!!
Anyone involved with or signing this petition (be it Doctor or other) is only driven by a Lorcaserin/Eisai or somekinda pharma payoff or ROI and has no concern for the "lil' fat kid" whatsoeva!!!
As a practicing physician and research-trained clinician, I feel we need to send a strong message to our elected leaders that the non-elected bureaucrats are totally out of control with respect to freedom to practice the best medicine.
