Culmus, I was referring to parts of the Old Testament that instructed what you should do to your enemies when you conquer them. Killing all the men and boys, taking the women and girls as slaves and mistresses, burning all the property to the ground, and taking all the livestock were instructed in the Old Testament.
If one wants to selectively lift bits and pieces to rationalize or demonize virtually any kind of behavior, the Old T is a nice reference. That's what I meant by justifiably. You could find support for that reprehensible act in the old T.
I was not advocating pillaging. I was merely pointing out that if one chose to, one could point to a passage that would support this pretty barbaric activity.
