Wal-Mart bids $4.26 bln for Massmart-Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the world’s No. 1 retailer, makes a non-binding proposal to acquire Massmart Holdings Ltd., the Johannesburg consumer-products and food retailer, for 148 rand ($21.13) a share, or $4.26 billion.
