Wonder why MSFT is raising $$$ - I don;'t follow them closely but a few years ago their problem was having too much cash. I'm curious what they plan on using it for…

It almost doesn’t matter what they plan to do with the money. At 0.9%, MSFT would be crazy not to borrow.

Other blue-chip companies are doing the same thing: for instance, IBM, DuPont, and JNJ recently issued bonds despite having no compelling need to increase cash.
