Paula,

I watched a brief interview with NITE one day and they said that they fill almost every order with their inventory, not shares that they purchase. So this means they must sell a share short, then go and buy it back afterwards most of the time. This is why they are more short than the previous day if that short number is over 50%. In theory, it should be half or less every day for them not to dig the hole deeper.

Yesterday GRNO was not on the computer generated list. I take that to mean there was either a failure of the system, or the short number was zero. It is quite possible it was zero. We've known for weeks now they haven't been pummeling the stock, but rather using a containment policy. NITE has been mostly alone on the shorting front. If volume and buying pressure were light yesterday, they may have had no reason to short at all.

I'm going to call FINRA and see if I can find out why it wasn't on the list.

Hi all...looks like the MMs attempted a "Portfolio Shake" today...no worries as GRNO continues to show strength with low volume.

Thanks, Paula, for posting this article...it is very interesting and one of the better explanations I have read about NSS :-)
