I find it ridiculous to put patients on drug indefinitely when there is no clinical data to support long term use.

We are talking about different things. I am talking about what the FDA label permits (which is also what you were discussing previously), and you are talking about a medical judgment which has to be made on a case-by-case basis.

Sure. Clinical trials should run 10 years so we have long term use data. ;-) Forget about new drugs - no company would even try.
