I will admit I can imagine it's a bit chaotic around the office at the moment, but I wouldn't expect otherwise. I try to think about it in my own mind as if I was the one involved in it. Trying to oust the CEO, get a new BOD in place, organize acquisions and pacify them about the situation, and talking with lenders at every step because most of this maneuvering is because of them IMO.
And that doesn't even count someone coming in with a loaded gun and demanding that Dean resign or he goes public with the Watergate tapes.
In all of that perfect storm I don't think, if I was the APEX folks, I'd give a rat's patoot about IR answering anyone. All they're going to do is give you a line saying that they can't say anything anyway. If they are supposed to only comment on publicly available information, well at the moment there is none.
I think we all got used to being able to talk to folks at the company like we were friends with them. Then APEX comes in and (1) they run things a little more professional (thank goodness) and (2) they're not used to having to deal with shareholders to begin with as they're a private company.
I would much rather have it the way it is. You believe or don't and don't call us we'll call you. I can't see anyone making demands for communication of any other company and not getting told to pack sand.
Is IR a revolving door right now? Maybe. Maybe the person at the job got sick and tired of apologizing and having nothing that they can tell anyone anyway. Can you blame them.
That's my take on it anyway. I could be all wrong, but again I have to think about what would be important to me at this moment if I was running the show.
