I believe what you said totally. The thing is Americans (WE) have this thing .. we were raised with it, Most of us were.. that says when you screw up ! .... You must accept responsibility for it, admit what you did wrong AND APOLOGIZE from the bottom of your heart. AND IF you can OFFER up restitution.
Iraq was AMERICA'S fiasco ! AMERICANS are and will continue to pay for this devastating decision. When there is no responsibility it's impossible to move forward AND not look back.
The continuing denial of wrongs committed will only further demoralize and increase disdain and outright disrespect for anything .. .. ...government ..presidents ......politicians, meaning the leaders of our country.. We have chosen to stuff our blatant disregard for the rule of laws of this country in an musty upper attic.. .hidden from fresh air and light. Under these circumstances ... history has taught us that these crimes will face us again .. ..just as the ones who were in power with 'bush' were also in the cia, pentagon, and other cabinet positions in other administrations also doing nefarious things in other countries ... some were prosecuted but pardoned. And they came back... to wreck this havoc on Americans and Iraqis ....resulting in changes of power throughout the ME and changed the view of America with our allies...and NOT for good.
We are choosing this way..I guarantee that all these crimes will come back to haunt us in a thousand ways .. that we can not even now foresee .. We see ENOUGH! .. however, it's just the tip of the iceberg ... Cause and Effect, no getting away from it. We are paying now .. We will pay later... and .......They, the criminals are NOT PAYING
........it's just a little difficult for many people to turn the other cheek.
