VA's resident bigot George "Macaca" Allen sees that his Repub party now embrases bigotry so he may be dreaming of knocking off Sen Jim Webb (D) in 2012...In the '06 Senate race Allen was the incumbent; Webb was 20pts behind Allen 2mos before election day, then Allen revealed his true self at a campaign stop by referring to a young dark-skin man in the audience as "Mecaca" and Webb's campaign took off like a rocket! Webb was Pres Reagan's Sec'ty of Navy and during his campaign he wore his son's combat boots, who at the time was serving in Iraq, and shortly before election day he wore them when he appeared on MEET THE PRESS, which the camera revealed. Webb has been careful to remain his own man, including bucking the Dem party by being a staunch supporter of relaxing gun ownership laws (guns are very popular in VA). Webb won't be an easy opponent for Allen and in the world of politics Allen having been Senator 6yrs ago is akin to a lifetime ago.
