You can either believe there is more smoke and mirrors than real engineering or you can believe that Torvec has learned a hard lesson several times. That lesson being there are major forces within EVERY automotive company that will spend a LOT of money and time to pick apart any results Torvec releases.

This is what happened with the EPA. Torvec comes out of nowhere and throws a big rock in the middle of their carefully constructed pond. The way EPA results are obtained have NOTHING to do with real world driving. Outsider tech that shows up 10 years of EPA kludged together junk that doesn't work off a testbed, had to be slammed. Otherwise some highly paid government workers would have to defend spending $60 million.

All the equipement and time is being spent to make defendable results. I think it's overly conservative, but they've been torn apart before and I think they want to announce big. Anything promising better than a mile or two per gallon for less cost better be real and they know that.

Getting tired of waiting, but expecting an aggressive, professional marketing effort when they do. I want to see cutaways in Popular Science in months not years.

Ass-u-me...
Assumptions are dangerous no matter what side you take.
Here is my observations -
TOVC has a Ram with the technology that they have been TOTALLY silent on for a long time. They claimed amazing results at the time, but nothing since - Why?
Then there was the EPA test that was to be the end-all-be-all and that all ended in a pxssing match with claims that the EPA was wrong, corrupt, etc... and the EPA saying that the units did not perform and the test was halted. TOVC managed to state some pretty pathetic results after the dust settled.
Then the Tahoe, yes there are at least good pictures and stories from Otto a ways back on progress - nothing since. Once again they over-promise and under-deliver.
I am familiar with the technolgy and development intake process at a number of companies, yes, even GM. Let's say the results are truly stellar (I Hope)- acceptance and integration of such a different technology is a matter of years, not months.
No where has there been any disclosure of multi-point test results or accomplishments - why?
So we can all assume... Dread I am concerned that the assumption I draw lays in the oppositie direction of yours.
Over promise and never deliver is the pattern we all are afraid to recognize.
Time will tell and it already has said a lot.

Given the $ that GM has spent on things like fuel cell research I don't think that it would be out of the question for them to give Torvec a Tahoe to perform testing in order to give them a first look at this amazing technology. My personal opinion is that Torvec has disclosed that they are using a Tahoe for testing in order to give the appearance that they are working with GM. In the same way they used a Dodge Ram earlier. There was an appearance that they were working with Dodge, But as JG put it "Dodge is Dumb" for passing on the technolgy.
