I'd love to see a President and Congress agree to a 10% cut off of everything.

Why can't we do that? Just something that points us in a better direction. (less spending?)

Companies do it. Many individuals find ways to cut back and live within reduced means. Why not Government?

Hype yes, but you have to dream and if The US Federal Government were to be 1/3 smaller I would start by pulling our troups out of every nation on earth cold turkey. Then discontiue ALL aid to other nations except in special circumstances like the Tsumami or Hati Earth Quake. Over some years would cut the Federal emloyees at all levels by 1/3. Outrageous! I am sure I could put 1/2 out of our misery. Over time privatize Medicare and Social Security. Then Buy Japan and make it the 51st State...
