Interesting you should ask this question now ... I just bailed out at a small loss.
In reading over the last four earnings releases this morning, I noticed that the last one on October 27 called for FY 2004 EPS of $0.62 to $0.65 and $0.75 to $0.80 for FY 2005. This is a huge deceleration in earnings momentum, perhaps caused by having to expense stock options this year.
I wish I had noticed this before. It may be a better short than long here.
I am still long NEM, own GOLD calls, own S&P puts, I'm short the XLF and short KRB.
