the alternate explanation, one fitting with meta-analysis of market history, would be that the market rarely proves so many people right and this wave of hype and attention is marking the top.

about the only thing missing is Apple painting their name on a stadium.

roni, not to worry about lango misinterpreting/misconstruing something you might have said. Happens all the time, and at great length at that.

Going forward, here are my scary issues:

Shuffle is runaway success...but cannabalizes how many iPods?

Mac mini is runaway success...but cannabalizes how many iMacs?

There are scenarios, given enough sales, in which these factors could cancel out.

So look to:

Software sales. (About to be boosted by Tiger.)

Dual G5 towers: Is anybody buying those dogs?

Over-priced monitors: Are they walking out the door?

is certainly mechanically well-grounded. The fact that you use trailing stops and move them up periodically speaks well of you, as does your instinct not to get greedy when working in unfamiliar territory and new instruments. Truth is, your actual investing appears (based only on what I know from what you choose to share here) much more conservative and disciplined than some of your playful rhetoric. Take my comments with a couple grains of salt and toss 'em over your shoulder.
