I'm not sure if we're agreeing or not but in EVERY job I've taken the interoffice memo came with a line very close to this that stated what I was going to do for the company:

Each of these officers have agreed to join the board with their new responsibilities to assist the company in connection with the completion of fund raising,

NEVER have I seen this for consultants helping a company reorganize.
