In response to both the CF and NSCLC. I'am glad genr is not putting money into those programs as wet amd is where the energy of this company should be focused. Over the last year I have not seen press releases to pump this stock using those indications or the IL-9 or a possible weight loss indication.
The CFF granted the money to genr to delelop Lomucin. I believe the grant was for 1.7 million which to date I doubt has been used up. Should Roy make comments to hurt the chances of getting additional funds to continue studing this drug.
Genr has also recieved money to continue to test squalamine in various cancer indications. Should Roy make comments to hurt the chances of additional trials for squalamine in cancer.
I question whether the company will ever get the critical “209” trial fully enrolled now that Macugen is on the market. I also wonder about possible issues in the manufacturing of Squalamine that might derail the AMD program.
Good Point. At what point can patients drop out of the trial after a specific decline in vision without harming the trial results? For someone who always thought macugen was such a so/so drug I wonder why you think the approval of macugen would harm the enrollment of this trial to such a large degree. I don't buy the stick in the eye theory all that much but I do imagine with the efficacy of macugen, the number of patients available, the fear of needles that enough patients will be enrolled to complete this trial way before 2010.
"Last but not least, a systemic approach to anti-angiogenic AMD treatment appears far less attractive today than it once appeared".
Ok, nothing new here. Systemic is an issue as is safety of all drugs until proven otherwise, but 2010. Sounds like you decide this issue already. I wonder why Osamagie keeps buying stock.
I also wonder about possible issues in the manufacturing of Squalamine that might derail the AMD program..
To date it has not stopped any of the amd or cancer trials. I was told that this will not be a problem and I see nothing other then the fact that they will not disclose specific about production of squalamine to make me think this will be an issue.
