I thought we were talking less than atom size, i.e. components , electrons and their spin. Since electrons basicly have no "weight" i.e. matter, they take up much less space.

The excerpt part below..."{versus moving an electron 1nm, it is easily 100,000 times smaller}."", I think this is imho what Vmram nvec is all about, and of course the vertically stacked cells.

""There is the possibility
of using other properties like electrons which
have spin. In this case, you can imagine in a
simplified way, if the charge was spinning like a
gyroscope, you can flip the spin from up to
down, that’s what you do with magnetic
dipoles in your hard drive. There is a possibility—
still speculative—but possible to have a 1
or 0 with spin up or spin down, and if you calculate
the energy of moving from up to down
versus moving an electron 1nm, it is easily
100,000 times smaller. UCLA and UCSB are
working on this. People have made hybrid
transistors. They still had a source, had a drain
and moved charges, but instead of controlling
the field, they’d move the spin. What I’m telling
you is that you could have all the charges sitting
there and spin-up/down, and none of the electrons
would move, but you’d have a spin-wave
propogate. There’d be no resistance because
there’d be no current.""

Hi Zeev: Subatomomic, magnatism, nanometers. I know all about that. Sure.
