Like all kids, the boy needed (and still needs) discipline in his life as he grows up. A lot of kids do not get that anymore because it is not PC to administer a good spanking, and that lack of discipline shows in our youth.
When I was a kid and misbehaved, my parents saw to it that my rear end was whupped, and I thank my parents for doing that.
