Not sure if this helps; lifted from a Sanofi Aventis cafepharma thread . . . this post

"~ 10% less than Lovenox (AWP)"

got this reply

"no way if its 10% less awp then our contracts beats there awp- your full of shit.......maybe its 10% more then our 30% max discount for a 90% share? Is that what you meant? by the way thats 40% less awp not 10..........Anyone else heard anything reliable on price?"

which got this reply

"$188 for a box of thirties. $251 for a box of forties. Basically lower than our 1% - 15% off WAC. Once you get to 18% we are cheaper. We are $210 for a box of forties with a 30% discount off WAC."

10 in a box.

It is funny how often you see the six month exclusivity concept bandied about. Also the blind acceptance of Teva's propaganda regarding the imminence of approval of their generic. I have also read there that contracts to the GPOs are cancelable with 30 days notice.

For those unfamiliar with the acronym lingo . . .

AWP = Average Wholesale Price "A national average of list prices charged by wholesalers to pharmacies."

WAC = Wholesale Acquisition Cost "The price paid by a wholesaler for drugs purchased from the wholesaler's supplier, typically the manufacturer of the drug. On financial statements, the total of these amounts equals the wholesaler's cost of goods sold. Publicly disclosed or listed WAC amounts may not reflect all available discounts"
