Sure, why not question and speculate on the DRTV, the initial test wasn't successful, correct? Who really knows exactly why? Not us, but it's fun to speculate.
I'd rather have the company institute a stock repurchase program with the $100K or so they spent on this DRTV.
Thats smart, announce a buy back when you're still in the fund raising stage... Thats what scams do, not a company trying to grow a business. Think about what you are saying
The POINT of marketing is finding that message that translates into sales. So each dollar invested comes back as more $$$$ than was original used... Marketing is all about trial and error.
In case you have not noticed, there are many DRTV ads that play for short periods, go into hibernation, then reappear at a later date... Sometimes it takes many short campaigns (tests) to find the right channels/times/message that translate into sales.
The DRTV launch was not fantastic, but this does not mean it cant be in the future... They could change the target uses around, add in a host (i think Mike Rowe would be perfect), try during the holiday season, etc... The possibilities are endless, but IMO they need an NA first (as others have suggested), which should increase the odds of success.
Im sure glad some people around here are not the CEO.
