WR Hambrecht: Panera reported a 5.0% increase in system-wide same store sales. This suggests that system-wide traffic was up approximately 0.25%. As we add it up, traffic is the critical driver on which this story hinges. If restaurant level traffic grows, earnings expectations and the stock are both likely to move higher. The converse is also true.

... certainly, the technicals are not perfect, but I continue to like LSCP on the fundamental side ... especially, (a) I like their candor in their pre-market earnings releases, including guidance in writing for the next quarter and fiscal year, and (b) they are much more about substance than style in their earnings conferences ... of course, all of that is easy to do in a fast growing, profitable and accelerating business - they have not stubbed their big toe yet ... I am hoping it will not happen this quarter ... their sales and earnings are still accelerating ... anyhow, that's my view right now ... Will I hold it into the actual earnings announcement? I don't know at this point ...
