you have a refractory population of schizophrenia that hasn't been helped by any drugs.

I am not in repligen right now but that doesn't mean secretin won't be a benefit to some people.

In the high dose cohort 4 of 14 people showed a much improved or very much improved reaction, which is double the response for the placebo, which was 2 of 15.

I don't think there is much of a market but I hope it works out. These trials weren't powered to show statistical significance

<<A Secretin trial is underway in ADHD and I would wager that trial will fail also.>>

Casting aside what the outcome may or may not be, how practical is it to use a drug like secretin for ADHD? Is this a commercially viable indication? Or just get it approved whatever the indication and hope desperate autistic parents use it?

It's intersting that RGEN is up today. It may be explained by the fact that the results were already factored into the stock price. Dr. Garren had been predicting that Secretin would not work in any indication, yet he has it in his model portfolio and has been adding recently. His reasoning is that BMY's drug for rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and multiple sclerosis (MS) will be a hige success, and will be launched before the end of the year. Garren says that RGEN's use patents are solid in these areas and BMY will shortly be forced to deal with RGEN or be faced with a court trial where BMT is almost certain to lose and, thus, will have to pay higher royalties than the 3% that Garren is predicting RGEN would get now in a settlement.

Garren says that RGEN has an even stronger case against Imclone on Erbitux and is sure to get some money on sales already on Erbitux.

Garren said the time to buy would be upon the release of what he predicted would be negative results in the schizophrenia trials. However, I'm quite certain he didn't expect the stock price to go UP on the release of those negative results.

Since I don't know the science or the law here, I'd appreciate comments from the board.
