Where you get the idea the Sanofi is currently locking up major users? To say it continues to is implying they are doing it now. Are you making things up?
When Apotex unleashed clopidogrel for less than one month (I think it was on the market 3 weeks), they captured 53% of the existing plavix sales.
Why wouldn't I expect the same results for Momenta? The difference I see would be that plavix is many sold thru drug stores to individuals whereas lovenox is sold to large institutions. Sanofi can deal with large users easy, whereas I'd guess Momenta's majority of customers today would be thru the pharmacies where co-pays come in play.
