Sandoz is making about 1 million $ per day from Lovenox. 6 Weeks = 42 Days. (40 million / 42 days) = ~1 million $'s per day! All that work for only a million a day. (for now)

Alertmeipp,

What we do not know at this point is more important than what we do know.

A): What is Sanofi willing to do in pricing? Will they match Sandoz's price? Will they beat Sandoz's price? If you were a doctor and you could prescribe Lovenox or the Generic for the same price which one would you prescribe? Again, please remember the bulk of sales are to the large institutions and hospital networks, so Sanofi really doesn't have to do a lot of legwork to lock up the majority of sales.

B): We've heard the word 'profit' from Momenta but we really have no clue what is included. People here say there is little to no general administration or sales expense. If this product is going to be the biggest product that Sandoz owns, I'm sure they'll have to charge something to it.

C): Do we have a handle on the true manufacturing costs or the raw material costs? How about the manufacturing facilities? I'm sure they're not free.
