EP, I was talking about Q1 of '03 since that's when Clawhammer is supposed to be introduced. Also, it seems that Intel is pricing their top of the line chip at $650+.

Not a chance in my mind. AMD won't even have the 2700+ and 2800+ chips out at all until December, the 2600+ is still MIA, and the 2400+ is "scarce as hen's teeth". K8 validation shipments don't start until January. No chance for a real K8 release (as opposed to vapor) of any type at any volume in Q1.

Clawhammer was supposed to be introduced in q4'2001. It slipped into late 2002 and now into early 2003. I think it is foolish to count on a Q1'03 release in any volume. In fact they probably won't even do a paper release by then.
