I'm not good at throwing the old hook. I really know how to order the beer, though. I've found the key is to order it early in the first game, so that by game three I'm loose as a goose and the pins seem to fall a lot better.
Just like trading. Develop a strategy that works for you. I'm sure the pocket thing works for a lot of people. The beer seems to work for me. ;)
