It’s notable that JP said Telaprevir, specifically, rather than “a first-generation PI.” JP presumably read MRK’s PR in #msg-52949888 before speaking at the BMO conference today :- )

He did at least reference boceprevir at least once. But, most of his specific discussions about future SoC HCV comparators centered around telaprevir. No big surprise there. I think MRK needs to have high hopes for its 2nd gen PI or, my preference, seek to in-license one of those few available 2nd/3rd gen PIs with expected QD dosing. ; )
