Aug. 14 is the magic date(day 45). However could the decision come earlier? And the options may include extension, no extension, or extension and additional programs. In fact, expansion of the collaboration might be one reason for the delay.
I don't think the company will or is required to PR anything if the contract isn't renewed. Like so many things Peregrine it will dissappear never to be heard from again.
