I get the motivation, Elmer, but I never saw any point in time when PCIe lagged behind the needs of graphics.

Besides, PCIe isn't a proprietary standard. It's an open standard governed by the PCI-SIG, a consortium of high-tech companies and firms.

Now if the FTC settlement actually referred to QPI, it might make more sense to me, even though that would be much harder on Intel than something related to PCIe.
