Teleprevir had some anemia issues in the 8 week arm. There is no mention of rash in the MRK PR so from a side effect point of view it seems arguable that Boceprevir is worse. In fact, discontinuations due to AE's when compared to the control group appears to be worse for Telaprevir than for Boceprevir.
EPO: I was specifically told this was not a viable option by a senior treatment GI. I asked the question. It had something to do with the mechanism of action causing the anemia, rather than the added expense to an already expensive treatment. FWIW.
