just went out to check the progress

I requested a simple set of doggy steps so our puppy can go down stairs and play in the gated area rather than going down the side steps.

hubby decided that we needed a "landing deck" (whatever that is) which the stairs stops half way and there's a mini deck before going down more steps into the tiny gated area.

which means there's going to be very little area that's gated for the dog to play in so now I am going to have to extend the fence out more into the other area which also means having to clean more of the jungle up.

Men can take a single easy task and make it into something way too complicating.

Tina, short answer: no.

Native prairies don't have trees; native forests don't have grasslands.

When we screw around with that equation, too often we wind up with invasive species.

True, where ecosystems overlap, there is great diversity. Still, don't force it...
