Also, by the time, if ever, your philosophy takes effect ("sometime within the next century"), I expect I'll be dead, so I won't have to come crying to you Evil Capitalists.--mikkj??
It is already taking effect. Why do you think Communism and Socialism has constantly failed while at the same time we became the most powerful nation in the world?--Spallz
Actually, History dictates that we must go towards Libertarianism, whether I like it totally or not. China has done away with most of it's communistic infrastructure such as social security and nationalized health care and people have been pretty much left to fend for themselves. They still retain their totalitarian police state, but this will probably fall in time as their economy develops and the free flow of information will be necessary for them to continue to grow their GDP. The reason that we are being forced to follow is competition. With 1.2 billion people who are smart and hard-working, China will be the largest economy on Earth within our lifetimes. They will also develop a military at least equal to our own. To compete with them, we will have to cut the cost of producing goods and services, and adapt to the Chinese model. That is where our economy and political system will be going for the next few decades.
