You may be right, but I think you should have stayed with your short, I am in the process of unloading the ast deployment, EXPE went foe a two pence at $41.63, very dangerous here and could break $41 and fall big (you should follow Huch on the dark side on that one). Alaso covered the Q here, MERQ for a change a nice lttle gain o $.30 at $16.90, but BRCD gave up few pennies. BRCM just a penny to the good and QLGC a dime loss. ELXwent for a penny gain. ERTS for a nickel gain. INTU went at $44.65 a gain of $.30 and CDWC just went even. CCMP got dumped at $34.90 for just $.14 and that MU at $11.76 for $.06. Last, the two bios, IDPH at $38.04 for $.24 and AMGN at $44.80 for $.15. Off All this in the ast 15 minutes or so. Back well above 35% cash.

Still looking for a rally over the next few days, so covered half of the remaining FNM core short @62.01 (+2.39) and half of the TYC core short @12.10 (+2.45). The covers will be a social error if we do not get the rally.

It's harder to tell, today, if we're just seeing a continuation of the prop job or if there's some real accumulation going on in select areas today. I've been watching AMAT today, too, and see the same, even during intervals when the SOXX as a whole has demonstrated relative weakness. Nothing to get too excited about yet, but it's a change in the programming and thus worth noting.

Perhaps we're setting up for a little relief rally tomorrow after W's speech. <?>
