How it works is Lorne and Steve have the undivided attention from buyers of major retailers. It's nearly impossible for a new company to get face time from the major retailers. They probably won't get a purchase order during the week but could lead to additional meetings/negotiations. Having the DRTV will help close the deal.
It makes the initial "face to face" much easier because of the appointments which are so very difficult to get otherwise. A good first step to moving forward in the business relationship that we may not have otherwise. It is worth the time and money for sure.
