On the way home from a party about 1960, North Vancouver to North Burnaby, i was concentrating on my ?? electrical system. Wonky lights. Was a deluge and water splashed through a rust hole in the floor. The windshield was Niagara. I accidentally ran a red light, then heard a siren.
If it had been a Vancouver cop instead of an RCMP he most probably would NOT have been as empathetic and would NOT have let me off with an "as long as you go straight home". Yup, lol, it was happy time, as that's what i had been concentrating on. Lol, i've told it before so hope it's new to you.
On the Arizona thing, i don't know if police are any more racist there than other states .. no idea .. however, there was a post here .. can't find it .. a working Arizona policeman said they did profile non-whites for drugs even when good statistics showed clearly, and it was well known, that white drivers were more likely to have them. So, it seems some policies and even some general individual attitudes in Arizona have been and are more racist than in other states, even before the new law. The Arizona policeman who said that obviously was a good guy.
