Hey Zeev...a question on MDKI 6.90 which owns 57% of DCAI. At today's close of 19.60 it appears to me MDKI has a dollar value in DCAI stock of $13.57 per share, which means MDKI's value is not only free, it's a minus $6.67!?? This week’s Under the Radar sector is outpatient home care, a rather bland-sounding part of the health care world that’s been steadily climbing the stock charts.
Leaders:
The top-performing name by far in the outpatient home care group has been Dialysis Corp. of America (DCAI), a small-float favorite that made our year-end list of stocks over $1 posting the largest percentage gains in ’04 (up 473%, trailing only six names, including TZOO). DCAI’s stock gapped even higher still in early ’05 after it made the IBD Top 100 list. The company has benefited from solid fundamental growth in the relatively consolidated dialysis industry. Some of the recent gains may be attributed to hopes that it and other dialysis companies including DVA will benefit from an ’06 Medicare rate update that would allow for rate increases in the future.
I understand if you don't have the time to look at it but thought I'd check with you...btw, on Yahoo under news for MDKI is the news of their ownership of 57% of DCAI from a few weeks ago....have a great weekend! tuna
