The other difference was ITMN owned 100% of pirfenidone and would have had about 8 years of exclusivity (plus Europe where it may well still be approved). Whereas Lovenox is a generic, MNTA owns a bit less than 50% of the economics, no filings ex-US and there's always a chance TEVA may be approved in the future.
