I hate using one of my 15 posts a day on this, but I am absolutely stunned that anyone would be more sympathetic to an admitted criminal than to his victims.
How about the suffering that no doubt hundreds and potentially thousands of people who lost money they couldn't afford to lose because of illegal activities? I can only imagine the misery of some of these folks AND their families. I'm sure many have suffered far more than these guys will and certainly in aggregate, their suffering dwarfs the master minds.
It's fine to point out how foolish and ignorant some people can be to fall for con games, but that ignores the desperate situations some folks find themselves in and their unwise decisions to try to dig themselves out. I'm betting some had to give up a lot more than a summer vacation.
Worst of all, it appears all of this was done to enable a bunch of young kids to lead a lavish lifestyle of excess.

Yes, some people are desperate, some people are stupid, some people never learn, but most heinous to me are those that take advantage of those folks for no more reason than that they can.

Gotta wonder just how Matt and his family have "suffered" so much.

A year without $280.00 shots of liquor?

No more lavish vacations to Vegas and the Caribbean on fraudulently earned funds?

Has he lost any legitimately earned income?

I haven't seen or heard of anything that even comes close to Matt "suffering".

It's possible he may have "suffered" a bit from humiliation...... But, there's no obvious signs of that either.....

I guess it's all in the way a person perceives "suffering".

Paris Hilton used to "suffer" on a 20,000 dollar a week allowance before she started making her own money. :~)
